RENEWALS
- Renewing members can most easily use the 2024/25 Online Renewal Form. Just answer the questions, push submit and it comes straight over.
- Alternatively you can download the 2024/25 Downloadable Renewal form. This is a Word document which can be emailed back to the Membership Secretary, or printed and posted,
- Payment - For Bank Transfer, pay to Tynedale u3a: sort code 20-40-09: Account 60601209: for renewals, reference is your membership number and surname. (The ‘reference’ makes it much easier to know who is making the payment). If sending a cheque, it should be made payable to Tynedale u3a. It can be posted with any paper forms, sent separately or handed in at one of the monthly meetings
- PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ARE NOT COUNTED AS RENEWED UNTIL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE OR A CHEQUE HAS BEEN RECEIVED
Applications from New Members

- Payment -For Bank Transfer, pay to Tynedale u3a: sort code 20-40-09: Account 60601209. New members should use the term “NEW” as the reference when making a bank transfer.
- PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE COMPLETED UNTIL WE HAVE RECEIVED YOUR SUBSCRIPTION. WE DO NOT SEND AN INVOICE!
SEPT 2024-AUG 2025 SUBSCRIPTIONS
The renewal date is September 1st.
The subscription is £14 per person. If you wish to receive copies of the National U3A magazine, Third Age Matters please add £3.80 (which just pays for the postage), to make it £17.80 .
New Members who join after June 1st in any year will have membership until August of the following year.
Associate Members, who are in another u3a, have nothing to pay but should complete a renewal form.

Gift Aid
Your subscription of £14 can release a tax refund for Tynedale U3A of over £3.50 at no additional cost to yourself and will be claimed without any further action on your part. The only requirement is that each individual signing the declaration must be an existing tax-payer for at least the amount claimed (together with any other declarations they have made to other organisations/charities). Please tick the Gift Aid box if it applies.
Should your circumstances change you can either notify the current treasurer that you wish to cancel your declaration & this will be done immediately, or put the change on the renewal form next year.
Data protection
We have to have the permission of all members to collect basic data about them and to use it in order to contact them, for example to send newsletter links, notices of meetings, items of general interest, membership information and to allow group convenors to contact the members of their groups.
