We are a group which aims to promote social interaction and combat isolation for people living in a rural area. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month from 7.30pm in either Matfen or Great Whittington village hall for a talk, a craft session, a quiz or other shared activity. In between, we meet for lunches, walks, a book group and visits to places of interest, organised by individuals in the group. We are open to new ideas for activities and welcome interest from potential new members. We ask for a small sub of £16 p.a. to help cover the costs of hall hire, speakers, and so on.
